Moon

Well, Hello.

The Eclipse just happened. I’m sure you heard. It inspired me. Not in the way that you might think.

I didn’t go outside and take photos, I did not drive across the country, a shame really. I did not do much to celebrate the Eclipse, but I thought about it a lot.

I texted a friend:

So perhaps maybe that’s it. Maybe I’m going through a cycle, continuously, in ways I have a hard time expressing because it’s more of a visual. I joke with my friends I come around once in a while, kinda like how the moon has it’s special events and phases. Some sightings have more flare than my routine phases. If I’m a new moon to you, you’ll see me in a frequency different than the ones who see the lunar eclipse.

Some people don’t acknowledge the moon when they see her in the daytime. This solar eclipse reminds me that there are moments in our life were we are like the moon in the day time, only rarely are we ever celebrated greatly, rarely do we shine and become the spotlight for the moment.
