Winter Hibernation

Dear Reader,

You know that moment when you have the urge to do something? Your head fills with thoughts about it, how to accomplish it, what if something goes wrong, and what might happen. I have been experiencing this sensation. I recently got rid of one of my instagram accounts, I’m slowly taking my old self offline. Really I hate how algorithms and things influence us. There are things I cam constantly reminded about that fume me, as if I am tied to it, and the strings are getting tugged on. Some of those things are:

  • Teaching- We are in a post “stay at home pandemic” world, which means we need to care a little more about the children and how they are doing. We are a world of access to everything, screens, and impatience. We need to teach each other to slow down.

  • Making- crafts, art, model making, furniture upgrading. I just want to make shit!

  • Organizing- SO MUCH TRASH AND CLUTTER EVERYWHERE HOW DO WE LIVE LIKE THIS?

  • Community- Where are the people? Where is your family? your neighbor? your corner store baddie?

So what’s stopping you from attending to these ties?

December, is usually a brutal month. Pressure is heavy and tension arrises from failed expectations during the holiday season. We should be outside when the sun comes up, and trying to wind down as it fades on the horizon. We don’t get much daylight this time of year.
